ClosDoor

ClosDoor, also known as Zemac, Notpa or Inuk, is a malicious remote administration tool, originated in 1998. Although it is outdated, its technique remains effective and functions still work today, so it stays quite dangerous. ClosDoor is a complex application, built on the "server and client" technology. Server runs on an infected PC and accepts connections from the remote client. The attacker uses client to manage an infected computer. He can control some hardware devices, manipulate files, disclose and steal victim's valuable personal information, launch and terminate installed softwares, modify critical computer settings, etc. Today ClosDoor is not widespread, but several trojans and similar malicious applications are based on its code and implement its functions. Most modern antivirus and malware removal tools are able to detect and remove ClosDoor from the computer.
