Content Cleaner is a rogue anti-spyware program which pretends to prevent identity theft and to remove unused files. Be aware that a genuine anti-malware remover named Content Cleaner from ContentPurity does exist, so watch out for the rogue application. Content Cleaner will also warn hapless computer users that certain files, which are in fact harmless or do not exist, have compromised their privacy and are being used as part of an identity theft scam. Content Cleaner uses Trojans to enter the system through a backdoor. Once active it will use the mentioned scare tactics to convince unwary users to purchase a "licensed" version of Content Cleaner, which is completely useless. Remove all threats related to Content Cleaner by using a reliable anti-spyware program.
