Posted: November 15, 2010

Fake Microsoft Windows Warning is a fake warning message related to the Smart Defragmenter rogue program. Smart Defragmenter produces these popup warnings claiming that the disk is inaccessible and has lots of errors. The message falsely reports that ram memory is in danger of being lost and that the registry is under threat as well. The corrupt program will then urge unwary computer users to purchase a copy of Smart Defragmenter to repair the system. Smart Defragmenter poses a severe threat to PC security and should be removed immediately.
