I-Worm.Eversaw

Posted: March 28, 2006

Worm Eversaw is a worm that spreads by e-mail in messages with infected attachments. When a user executes an attached file, the worm installs itself to the computer. Then it infects popular IRC clients mIRC and pIRCh and distributes itself via IRC. It also looks for the KaZaA file sharing software and adds itself to the share list, so other users could download the worm by peer-to-peer network. The Eversaw worm uses Microsoft Outlook mail application to send copies to addresses found in the Address Book.
