I-Worm.Hadra

Posted: March 28, 2006

Worm Hadra spreads in the Internet by e-mail in messages with infected executable attachments. When a user executes such attachments, the worm starts its processes, which install the worm to the computer. After the installation it modifies Microsoft Outlook mail client so it could intercept incoming and outgoing e-mail messages and distribute itself to found addresses. It also tries to terminate the most popular antivirus and computer software. The worm has an interesting function: it downloads and installs the SETI client on an infected PC.
