I-Worm.Melhacker

This is an Internet worm that spreads by e-mail in infected messages. It comes as a malicious application in a body of the message and needs enabled ActiveX computer component. The worm sends its copies to all e-mail addresses found in a computer, infects popular mIRC and pIRCh chat clients to distribute itself through IRC networks and modifies some computer files. It also infects files of widely used types and changes many settings of the infected computer. The Melhacker can download and install other harmful worms.
