I-Worm.Merlin

Worm Merlin is written in Visual Basic Script language. It spreads in infected e-mails, through IRC protocol and in local networks. It uses Microsoft Outlook mail client to send its copies to all addresses from the Address Book. The worm modifies mIRC chat client's settings, can infect some documents and removes files of several widely used types. The Merlin worm can take more dangerous actions: remove critical computer files and trash the main hard disk by creating huge amount of directories on it.
