I-Worm.Petik

This is an Internet worm, which spreads using e-mail and IRC chats. It comes in e-mail messages with infected attachments. When a user executes an attachment, the worm shows a fake error message and installs itself to the computer. Then it uses Microsoft Outlook mail application to send its copies to all recipients found in the Address Book. It also infects mIRC chat client and uses it to distribute infected files in IRC channels. Every month the worm shows a simple message about itself, so it is not difficult to find out the Petik's presence in a computer.
