IrcContact

Posted: March 28, 2006

This RAT was created by a hacker called Impactus. The pest is written in Visual C++ and compressed with ASPack. The attacker infects the PC via the e-mail or File and Print Sharing. A "server" allows him to connect via a "client" on his own machine. Once inside the computer, the virus opens a default TCP port 6667 and awaits hacker commands. Several variants appeared from January 2001 to October 2003. This pest affects such operating computers as Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. But users of Windows 3.x, Microsoft IIS, Macintosh, UNIX and Linux are immune to this RAT.
