MicrosoftAntivirus

Posted: February 5, 2009

MicrosoftAntivirus, also known as Microsoft Antivirus, is a rogue security program created to have users fall under the assumption that the program is owned by Microsoft, which is a legitimate corporation. MicrosoftAntivirus is not associated with the Microsoft Corporation. MicrosoftAntivirus is malware and may be installed onto your computer by Trojans found bundled on corrupt shareware programs or you may have manually downloaded the program from a malware website.

Once installed, you'll receive numerous fake system alerts or security alerts notifying you about supposed spyware infections. In order to remove these imaginary threats, you'll be urged to purchase MicrosoftAntivirus' "licensed" program.

All links provided by MicrosoftAntivirus will most likely redirect you to malicous websites that sell MicrosoftAntivirus as a legitimate security program. MicrosoftAntivirus may have the ability to recreate itself after reboot. It is strongly recommended to remove MicrosoftAntivirus from your system upon detection.
