Packed.Win32.TDSS.z is a Trojan. Generally, a Trojan horse, or Trojan shortly, is a term used to describe malware appearing to the user, to execute an attractive function though, in fact, eases unauthorized access to the user's computer system. Trojan horses are not self-replicating which divides them from viruses and worms. Additionally, they need cooperation with an attacker to accomplish their goal. The attacker need not be the individual responsible to exploit the Trojan horse. Attackers have a chance to scan computers on a network using a port scanner in the hope to find one with a Trojan horse installed.
