Pinguide Adware is a Browser Helper Object (or BHO) that creates a link-displaying sidebar in your web browser. Since Pinguide Adware may expose you to malicious websites and has no beneficial purpose, you should strongly consider removing Pinguide Adware for the safety of your computer. Current versions of Pinguide Adware are known to attack Internet Explorer specifically, rather than trying to target multiple web browsers.

Pinguide Adware will install itself in the form of a Browser Helper Object and will run whenever Internet Explorer runs. The majority of Pinguide Adware's links are related to shopping websites and the URLs are readily identifiable in English, despite the main descriptive text being in Korean. Other than providing unnecessary links and a search bar, Pinguide Adware has no features and what features that Pinguide Adware does have are either malicious or driven by sponsor-based marketing.

Visiting websites that are related to Pinguide Adware may cause harm to your computer, since Pinguide Adware uses sponsorship models to rank links, instead of using objective models such as query relevance. At a minimum, using Pinguide Adware links gives money to adware-sponsoring criminals and should never be considered an equivalent to using a legitimate and popular search engine.

The Proper Means of Deleting Pinguide Adware from Your Browser

Pinguide Adware creates large amounts of Registry entries to enable Pinguide Adware's functions, but unlike most types of malicious programs, Pinguide Adware will not try to conceal itself. All Pinguide Adware files are visible in Pinguide-named Program Files folders, just as they would be with any normal program. Different parts of Pinguide Adware can also be seen in the Manage Add-Ons window of Internet Explorer.
