Real Antivirus, also known as RealAV or RealAntivirus, is a rogue anti-spyware program and clone of Antivirus XP 2008. Real Antivirus is usually installed by a Trojan found in spam emails or corrupt downloads such as fake video codecs. Real Antivirus was created to trick you into believing it's a legitimate spyware remover, however, Real Antivirus is a fraud and should not be trusted.

Real Antivirus may use malicious tactics, such as fake popups, system alerts and system scans to make you believe you're infected with numerous infections. In order to remove these spyware infections, Real Antivirus's messages may redirect you to Real Antivirus's website (AntivirusVIP.com) or other malicious websites to purchase the rogue "licensed" program. Real Antivirus may cause browser hijacks, misleading spyware scan results, redirects to malware websites and expose your computer to other malware threats.
