SafetyGuard (Safety Guard) is a fake security application known to mimic a program that scans for and removes spyware. SafetyGuard has a clever interface that appears to look like a legitimate security program. SafetyGuard, after installation, can start fake system scans that return several bogus parasites results all in an effort to get the computer user to purchase a full version of SafetyGuard.

SafetyGuard is not a trusted program and should never be purchased under any circumstances. SafetyGuard may require some user interaction to initiate its malicious tasks but nevertheless is a dangerous program to have installed on any computer.
