Silver

Worm Silver is a dangerous spyware, which spreads by e-mail and via IRC channels. It installs itself to the computer and sends its copies to other users using a mail client. It infects mIRC and pIRCh chat applications and allows the author to access an infected PC remotely. It also places infected files on shared disks of vulnerabe PCs from the local network and terminates several antivirus and security-related applications' processes. The worm removes some antivirus applications' files. The Silver is visible in the Control Panel, and can be 'uninstalled'. However, such 'uninstall' will cause serious damage to the operating computer, so the infected PC will fail on startup.
