Posted: March 28, 2006

Worm Stator spreads in the Internet by e-mail. It comes in infected letters with executable attachments, which may look like image files. However, when a user opens such file, the worm installs itself to the computer and shows an image to hide its activity. It infects several computer files and starts to distribute itself by e-mail using The Bat! mail client. It also steals lots of valuable information, including local and remote passwords and user names, software settings, etc.
