Posted: December 20, 2010

System Tool 2.20 (aka SystemTool2.20) is a rogue anti-spyware program that uses fake security alerts and system scan results to make computer users believe that they must purchase the System Tool 2.20 program to remove the found threats.

System Tool 2.20 is related to System Tool and System Tool 2011, which are both rogue programs to beware.

System Tool 2.20 will not remove any parasites from your PC. System Tool 2.20 can be installed onto your computer without notification through the use of Trojans and malicious websites. After installation, usually without warning to the computer, System Tool 2.20 may display the following bogus notification alert:

"System Tool 2.20 Warning
Spyware.IEMonster activity detected. This is spyware that attempts to steal passwords from Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Outlook and other programs. Click here to remove it immediately with System Tool 2.20."

Promptly remove System Tool 2.20 from your computer. Detection and removal of System Tool 2.20 can be difficult to perform manually so it is recommended that the use of a spyware removal tool be used.
