Trojan.Downloader.BHO.lfm

Posted: May 6, 2009

Trojan.Downloader.BHO.lfm is a malicious form of software that was designed to display false and exaggerated results, as a means to coerce a user into purchasing the full version software. Advertised through the use of fake online scanners, Trojan.Downloader.BHO.ifm prompts you to download and install the software in order to combat the number of fabricated infections reported by the scanner. Once active on your computer, Trojan.Downloader.BHO.ifm will start up every time the computer is rebooted, scanning your system and claiming that it will perform better if you purchase and install Trojan.Downloader.BHO.ifm. It is important to note, however, that merely having this program on your PC can cause your system to perform less efficiently and at a slower pace.
