Updatevp.org

Updatevp.org is a rogue domain or website constructed by malicious hackers who have abused the Skype interface to do their dirty work. Hackers are abusing Skype to create fake profiles with usernames such as "Online Notification" and similar variations. They then access Skype's chat feature to send a corrupt message which contains a false system scan. The message reports that your PC has become infected with malware. To unwary users the message will appear to be a real online notification when in fact it is an attempt to lure victims to the rogue website updatevp.org, which sells rogue anti-spyware programs. Ignore these messages and do not fall for this trickery, instead have updatevp.org and its accomplice threats removed from the system immediately.
