W32/Acebot is a network worm, which also exhibits characteristics of a backdoor program. W32/Acebot propagates through open network shares and allows a remote user to take full control over the infected computer. Aside from having backdoor capabilities, W32/Acebot also steals passwords and shuts down certain personal firewall applications.
