W32/Allaple
W32/Allaple is a network worm designed for the Windows platform. Once it is executed, W32/Allaple will search local disks for HTML files and inject code into them to activate the installed copy of it. Some variants of W32/Allaple may spread to other network computers by exploiting common buffer overflow vulnerabilities, including: SRVSVC (MS06-040), RPC-DCOM (MS04-012), PNP (MS05-039) and ASN.1 (MS04-007) and by copying itself to network shares protected by weak passwords.
