ZCodec is a variant of the Zlob Trojan malware. ZCodec masquerades as a video codec. ZCodec is malicious and extremely dangerous. ZCodec installs itself secretly through deceptive mechanisms, such as browser security exploits, and opens up a backdoor security hole, allowing remote attackers to control your computer, execute programs, download additional malware, steal personal data and credit card information. ZCodec may also install rogue anti-spyware programs and deliver excessive numbers of pop-up advertisements.
