ActiveMulti

Posted: April 9, 2020

ActiveMulti is a piece of adware that appears only to work on Mac computers. There has been a rapid increase in the number of adware that targets Apple's operating systems recently, and we advise all Mac users to take the necessary precautions and protect their computers with a reliable and Mac-compatible anti-malware software suite. While ActiveMulti is not threatening, its presence is unwanted – adware like this is known to inject a wide range of advertisements in active Web browser instances, therefore increasing the advertising revenue of the perpetrators.

It is very likely that these advertisements will get in the way of your Web browsing habits, and it might be difficult to navigate certain websites since their contents will be covered up by the banners, pop-ups, alerts, and other advertisements that ActiveMulti uses.

While ActiveMulti is by no means an advanced piece of adware, we would not suggest that you try to remove it manually. Such software should be eliminated with the help of a trustworthy anti-malware application that can identify and delete all of the adware's components.
