Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

AdSkip may not be the proper solution in your fight against intrusive Web ads. The specialists describe this questionable application as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP). AdSkip may not achieve the job it is intended to do. In theory, AdSkip should serve as an ad-blocker. AdSkip is supposed to prevent the loading of video commercials and to stop distracting pop-ups and banners that you may encounter on various sites. The PUP blocks the ads that originate from viewed sites. However, AdSkip may place its own marketing elements in their place. The new ads may be far more aggressive that those that you saw beforehand. AdSkip may generate various commercial materials in addition to the pop-ups and banners. You also may detect large amounts of hyperlinked words or page-covering transitional ads. The function of this unwanted content is to transfer you to certain sponsored sites that belong to the partner network of AdSkip. The developers of this unreliable ad-blocker have financial incentives to redirect you there. It may be hard if not impossible for you to stay away from the promoted pages. The visible commercial materials that you can avoid are just one fraction of all ads. The others may be far more difficult for you to ignore. AdSkip may manipulate your searches by inserting sponsored links at the front positions. As you probably suspect, these ads don't have the typical slogan that can distinguish them from legit results. It is perceived as a bad idea to go to sites promoted by such applications. There is a serious security risk deriving from such activity. You may end up on threatening platforms that may try to infect your machine or collect information from you. AdSkip may change its offers and discounts to answer your current needs and wishes. This PUP may have access to all kinds of non-personally identifiable information regarding your surfing sessions, which may reveal your interests. It is not advisable to follow any ads no matter how appealing they may be. The proper response once you detect AdSkip is to delete it with special security software immediately.
