Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

AllPCOptimizer is an optimization program that has historical evidence of displaying fraudulent, misleading or exaggerated claims about the PC's state of performance or security. Although a small minority of PC security companies have classified AllPCOptimizer's website as a threatening one, malware experts currently rate AllPCOptimizer as being a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP). Nevertheless, uninstalling AllPCOptimizer is recommended for any PC user less than completely certain of its benefits, which you can accomplish most efficiently with your security software.
AllPCOptimizer: An 'All' Optimizer Only Some of the Time
AllPCOptimizer is a program that claims to be able to delete 'junk' files, protect your online privacy and optimize the overall performance of your PC 'in a single click.' However, malware researchers almost immediately identified AllPCOptimizer as a direct clone of past optimization scanners with questionable business histories, such as OnePCOptimizer and WinPCOptimizer. AllPCOptimizer's website, allpcoptimizer.com, makes no mention of identical features or UI between these products, leading to the likely conclusion that its developers are attempting to switch brand names to avoid recognition.
While some sources classify AllPCOptimizer as being a threat, no evidence to date has been found AllPCOptimizer conducting direct attacks (such as collecting information or creating a backdoor vulnerability) on its PCs. However, AllPCOptimizer may display inaccurate system information in its 'scans,' such as:
- AllPCOptimizer may detect fraudulent threat infections, such as viruses or spyware.
- AllPCOptimizer may identify nonexistent or exaggerated performance problems, such as the presence of excessive 'cookies.'
- AllPCOptimizer also may make claims of identifying improper Registry information, such as keys supposedly left behind by no-longer-installed applications.
Most of AllPCOptimizer's detected issues may identify themselves as theoretical negative impacts on your PC's performance or safety. However, in reality, these issues are either nonexistent or have minimal performance or safety impact. As with any similar PUP of its type, AllPCOptimizer uses its fake scan results for promoting its paid registration service for 'fixing' your computer.
Taking Advantage of the PC Optimization That Really Matters
Allowing AllPCOptimizer to 'repair' your PC may result in a corrupted system Registry or other issues that may damage unrelated software, and malware researchers suggest ignoring any security or optimization recommendations from this brand (or its clones). PC users interested in cleaning their Registries, guarding their Web-browsing privacy or protecting their PCs from threats can find all of these features included in legitimate brands of software from recognized security companies. Using such products to delete AllPCOptimizer without using any of the latter's features is the recommended response to any occurrence of this PUP.
AllPCOptimizermay be installed through bundling with other, equally unwanted software, such as adware extensions like Dealz. These bundles may require your consent before installing any Potentially Unwanted Programs, but may misrepresent their products or describe them poorly. PC users can best protect themselves from dishonest software installers by avoiding their most common download sources. Of these, malware researchers especially can point out torrents labeled with popular subject matter and broad, free software sites as being the most archetypal sources of a faux product like AllPCOptimizer.
