The All Social New Tab software from Newtabtools.com is published on the Chrome Web Store as a new tab replacement that has all your favorite social media integrated. The All Social New Tab features links to YouTube, Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Also, users are provided with a convenient search bar, a clock and a date. Installing the All Social New Tab requires users to give the app the following permissions:

  • Read and change all your data on the websites they visit.
  • Replace the page they see when opening a new tab.
  • Read and change their browsing history.

The All Social New Tab is provided as an offline Web page that is shown in the Omnibox as 'chrome-extension://ehdjbbmdmchgdpmonoemkkapdodkpddh/sc_new_tab.html?inst=1' and the embedded search bar redirects users to:

You should take into consideration that the All Social New Tab software from Newtabtools.com is an ad-supported browser extension and it is deemed as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP). The All Social New Tab extension might collect and send information about your Internet history and downloads log to Newtabtools.com. The data collected from the users may be sold to marketers and allow Newtabtools.com to claim ad revenue, as well as keep the All Social New Tab software free-to-use. You may reconsider keeping the All Social New Tab extension in your browser due to the privileges it requires and limited functionality with no way to customize the All Social New Tab. The most notable features of the All Social New Tab appear to be browser redirects to Yahoo and five icons for access to social media services. You can remove the All Social New Tab extension via the Chrome's Extension Manager, but you can use a credible anti-spyware tool to erase any tracking cookies the app may have downloaded.
