Android Newtab is a browser hijacker associated with the start.androidnewtab.com site, which appears to be a generic search engine site that may have questionable internet search results laced with several advertisements. The creators behind Android Newtab may want to gain money through your clicks on various ads on search engine results. Installation of Android Newtab may take place through loading freeware programs downloaded from the internet. Usually Android Newtab loads plugins or add-ons within your web browser applications. Each of the Android Newtab files must be removed to put a stop to the unwanted redirects and default home page pointing to start.androidnewtab.com.
