ArchimedesLookup

ArchimedesLookup is a dubious Mac application that you may install by accident – this may happen because it is being spread via misleading software bundles that use confusing instructions to acquire the user's permission to install 3rd-party software like ArchimedesLookup. While the ArchimedesLookup app is not unsafe, it may bring undesired modifications to your Mac's behavior and, in specific, the Safari Web browser or your default Web browser.

Once installed, ArchimedesLookup sets up a new 'Device Profile' whose goal is to modify the Web browser's behavior by redirecting the user to the 'Safe Finder' search engine regularly – these redirects may happen when you open a new tab or try to initiate a new search through the address bar.
