Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

AstrologySearcher is a browser extension, which offers to provide its users with instant updates regarding their zodiac sign, as well as with quick access to horoscopes and other interesting bits of information related to the astrology field. This extension works as promised, and it is developed and maintained by Mindspark Interactive Network (now known as IAC Applications). This company's portfolio consists of a large number of browser-enhancing utilities, many of which have been classified as Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUPs) by cyber security product vendors.
Users who opt to install AstrologySearcher might be surprised when the extension prompts them to authorize it to tamper with their browsers' settings. Usually, browser add-ons require some permissions to carry out their activities, but AstrologySearcher is slightly different because it demands to modify the user's default new tab. While changes of this sort are certainly not harmful, users who want to take advantage of AstrologySearcher's features must also agree to use the new tab page, which this extension promotes – a search engine hosted by MyWay.com.
The new tab page linked to AstrologySearcher provides results via the Yahoo Search, but it hosts more than just a plain search feature. Users also will find links to popular websites, horoscope services, and other data related to astrology. It is possible that some people will find AstrologySearcher's new tab page rather attractive, and they are more than welcome to keep using it. However, if you are of the opposite opinion and do not wish to use a browser extension, which forces you to use an alternative new tab page, then keep on reading to find out the solution.
Since AstrologySearcher is not unsafe, it is possible to remove it without the use of a 3rd-party software. All you got to do is use the affected Web browser's extension manager to uninstall 'AstrologySearcher.' If this does not work, then a suitable PC security utility should be able to help you dispose of AstrologySearcher and the changes it brought.
