Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

AutoTinker is a program that is no different from the most types of adware. This tiny application comes as a browser extension, which works equally well on Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. The one and only function of this suspicious add-on is to generate pop-ups, banners, interstitial ads, sponsored videos and animations. You should not torture your brain to recall installing this software in case you start seeing the numerous "Ads by AutoTinker". This adware doesn't travel across the cyber space alone. It always comes together with some third-party freeware – an approach called "bundling". If you click the "I agree" and "Next" buttons without reading, you may agree to load AutoTinker unintentionally. The newly created advertising materials may overwhelm your web clients. The fact that they may cause significant annoyance is often the smallest problem. The presence of the ads may be accompanied by irritating side effects like a slower speed, freezes and unexpected crashes. The most serious risk of AutoTinker is that it may redirect you towards potentially unsafe sites. They may try to convince you to download software that may be dangerous. You may also be tricked to call fake technical support for assistance. Although the ad-supported extension claims it will offer you good discounts that will save you money, most often the users don't find any reason whatsoever to keep it. AutoTinker benefits its developers because they receive pay-per-click commissions from the sponsored sites. The removal process of this adware may be hard because the built-in uninstall module is often ineffective. Luckily, a professional security tool can fix your browsers easily.
