Backdoor:Win32/Godo.A is a backdoor Trojan that allows attackers to gain unauthorized remote access and control of the infected computer. Backdoor:Win32/Godo.A may use the Google Docs server as a proxy to disguise the Trojan's network activity to contact remote attackers. Backdoor:Win32/Godo.A strives to connect to the Google Docs server using an SSL-encrypted connection. Once executed on the affected machine, Backdoor:Win32/Godo.A drops potentially malicious files. Backdoor:Win32/Godo.A is detected as an executable file that uses a Microsoft Word icon. This social engineering technique attracts PC users into loading Backdoor:Win32/Godo.A by making you think the file is a document. When the file is opened, instead of opening a document the computer user will run Backdoor:Win32/Godo.A. Backdoor:Win32/Godo.A installs a copy of itself as 'scvhost.exe' in the [startup folder[ to assure its copy runs every time you start Windows. Backdoor:Win32/Godo.A contacts a remote server to upload information about the infected computer. Backdoor:Win32/Godo.A sends the gathered information about the compromised PC to the remote server.
