BackNote is a Trojan that spreads itself through emailed attachments of files called "PICTURE.EXE" and "MANAGER.EXE." Both of these files copy themselves to your Windows directory as a file called "NOTE.EXE" and register themselves to be executed every time your computer starts up. BackNote may then capture information from your system -- including your usernames and passwords -- and copy them to an encrypted DAT file. This file is automatically emailed to BackNote's anonymous user.
