Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

A new shopping adware program for Internet Explorer, Barowwsoe2Save claims to help provide good prices and products, but is more of a hindrance than anything else. By displaying advertisements without options for controlling or disabling them, maintaining a continuous memory process and making its removal needlessly challenging, Barowwsoe2Save is verified as a PUP and adware program that usually should be deleted from your computer. With Barowwsoe2Save's history of trying to make its removal as difficult as possible short of outright attacking your PC, malware researchers would consider using anti-malware products for managing Barowwsoe2Save's removal to be a wise precaution.
Reaping What You Sow with Barowwsoe2Save
The quirkily-named Barowwsoe2Save may have a recognition factor on its side with a very memorable brand name, but as far as its real features are concerned, malware experts only can consider Barowwsoe2Save one of the latest iterations of a series of typical Potentially Unwanted Programs. As adware, Barowwsoe2Save's primary functions are to deliver advertisements to your browser by modifying all relevant settings for actions like:
- Opening pop-up and pop-under windows.
- Injecting graphical advertisements, such as banners, into the content of unaffiliated sites. This injection function only modifies the Web page as your browser loads it and doesn't affect the site's actual structure.
- Injecting links to third party offers in text content in a fashion similar to the above function.
Barowwsoe2Save's major distribution campaign appears to have begun only by the middle of 2013, with limited information made available about the software's business plan or any associated companies. As suspicious as this may be, malware researchers were even more worried over recurring cases of Barowwsoe2Save's installation happening out of nowhere.
Saving Your Browser from Barowwsoe2Save
Even more than the typical adware program, Barowwsoe2Save has an extended history of being difficult to delete through both casual and anti-malware-based methods. Because Barowwsoe2Save maintains a constant memory process that can't be terminated easily, deleting Barowwsoe2Save may be surprisingly challenging. In these scenarios, malware experts usually recommend relying on Safe Mode and other techniques that may disable all non-critical software. A disabled Barowwsoe2Save should be deletable with any anti-malware program that worth its name, but anti-malware scanners with outdated threat databases might not identify Barowwsoe2Save with perfect accuracy.
With anti-malware products to protect your computer after the installation of adware like Barowwsoe2Save, it's left to the user to implement the bulk of defenses against Barowwsoe2Save prior to its installation. Never trust downloads from sources that are known to distribute adware or other PUPs, such as browser hijackers. If it's completely necessary to install a file from such a source, using file-scanning tools to detect a potential bundle containing Barowwsoe2Save always is simpler and safer than removing Barowwsoe2Save later.
