Although this pest is almost harmless, it still uses some resources by copying itself to many host-files. These host-files are usually BAT-files, which don’t lose their original code, but have also several lines of BAT.SG added. This spyware can make a lot of annoying consequences, that's why it is recommended to remove it from the computer as soon as possible.
