A new brand for a carrier of an elderly revenue scheme, BeepieBear is a Potentially Unwanted Program that's classified as such for its advertising-based changes to your browser, which may be enacted and hold no benefits for your browser. Although most people may be interested in belittling BeepieBear for the tedium of wading through excess advertisements, malware researchers are more concerned with its capacity for delivering potentially harmful advertisements to your PC. Various kinds of attacks often are circulated throughout the advertisement rings of disreputable adware, and deleting BeepieBear with appropriate software should be thought of as the only real solution to its presence that can guarantee your online safety.

The Browser Beep You Can't Ignore

Estimated to have been in circulation since at least October of this year, BeepieBear is a new adware program that gets profit from your viewings of its advertisements – but without bothering to give you much of anything in return for it. Because BeepieBear reserves the questionable right to update itself automatically without any notifications to its users, its capabilities may experience some variations between different release versions. However, BeepieBear always makes changes to your browser that are detriments to your ease of use and even your online safety:

  • Launching pop-up windows for advertisements.
  • Loading banners and other graphical advertisements; for example, by showing alternative sources for buying products online.
  • Injecting hyperlinks for advertising partners into the text of sites unaffiliated with them.
  • Pausing your browser's website loading time to display a full-page advertisement.

For the most part, BeepieBear's advertisements are most likely to be nuisances that harm your browser's performance, but not the underlying security of your computer. Quite naturally, malware researchers do recommend identifying these common attacks and doing your best to avoid them while you're handling BeepieBear.

The Right Way to Get Rid of an Advertising Bear

The minor drawbacks and outright dangers of tolerating BeepieBear or other adware make their removal a paramount concern for anyone who uses their browsers with any semblance of regularity. Since BeepieBear may be installed onto most Windows browsers but doesn't uninstall itself cleanly, Windows users, in particular, are recommended to invest in good anti-adware programs or similar security products that may automate the deletion of BeepieBear. Other means of removing BeepieBear may leave Registry entries or other system components intact, which, in the worst cases, even may force your browser to continue to display advertisements even when the rest of BeepieBear has long since been removed.

Without a robust marketing strategy or obviously helpful features, BeepieBear usually will not be a product that visitors willing would install through the BeepieBear.com website. However, adware products often are distributed in multiple-software packages, a process known as 'bundling.' Common bundling utilities often are identifiable by good PC security products, and malware experts heartily recommend their use for discerning if a new program may be capable of giving the seasonal gift of BeepieBear advertisements.
