Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

Betterdeals Ads is adware that injects advertisements in your browser that supposedly help you find shopping bargains, such as coupons and time-limited offers. Because the practical differences between Betterdeals Ads's features and its drawbacks as adware are negligible, malware researchers consider deleting Betterdeals Ads to be a good default position for the sake of your browser's performance and overall security. Betterdeals Ads and other adware programs often are installed through software bundles and other semi-consensual means, but also may be installed by other PC threats. With that risk kept in mind, using anti-malware tools during Betterdeals Ads's removal probably is for the best.
Why Trusting Betterdeals Ads isn't the Best Deal for You
Betterdeals Ads is one of a large group of adware programs that claim that their advertisements actually are helpful for you – in the sense that they can provide rapid and direct access to special discounts and product offers that may not be available on a widespread basis. Once one learns to ignore Betterdeals Ads's marketing terminology, you'll find that Betterdeals Ads, overall, is more of a drawback than a helper for your browser. Betterdeals Ads may inject its advertisement content on sites unrelated to it, may monitors your basic Web-browsing activities for advertisement-targeting purposes and doesn't allow you to disable or control how these two functions are implemented.
Additionally, malware researchers usually find advertising networks from adware sources like Betterdeals Ads to be unsafe to your PC – if not immediately, then eventually. Betterdeals Ads may display software updates for downloading threats, contests that attempt to gather information or other attacks. Considering the safety issues involved with any online advertisement network, allowing a suspicious third party provider like Betterdeals Ads to display its advertisements automatically is a non-ignorable security concern.
Getting the Better of the Betterdeals Ads
Since Betterdeals Ads doesn't have any kind of traditional marketing method for its distribution to new PCs, malware researchers would consider the use of bundles and other covered installation tactics to be particularly likely in the case of Betterdeals Ads. Safe browsing behavior is part of the solution to these dangers – while anti-malware products should be able to identify an installer including Betterdeals Ads before the installer ever has been launched. Sites with histories full of adware distribution especially should be avoided as potential infection vectors for Betterdeals Ads and many other programs with similar side effects.
Betterdeals Ads may include a built-in removal option or appear to be amicable to normal uninstallation procedures. Nonetheless, since Betterdeals Ads may let some of its browser changes remain on your PC even if the associated program seems to be deleted, malware researchers urge you to include appropriate anti-malware products in your strategy for removing Betterdeals Ads.
