Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

Blasearch.com is a search engine that does not utilize a custom search algorithm. Instead, all users who opt to search something from the search field on Blasearch.com will end up being redirected to a search results page hosted on Yahoo.com. Some of you may be wondering why some users would opt to use Blasearch.com when they can see the same results while simply visiting Yahoo.com. The answer to this question may sound rather surprising. Unpopular search services like Blasearch.com may often rely on low-quality software to modify the Web browsers of computer users so that they'll be redirected to Blasearch.com whenever they perform certain actions automatically. These actions may include but are not limited to – opening a new tab, accessing their homepage, initiating a search through the search bar, or even attempting to open their Web browser via a shortcut. If you come across Blasearch.com while performing any of the listed actions, then it is likely that the reason for this is a browser hijacker that managed to get on your computer recently.
The Blasearch.com page may be promoted by more than one browser hijacker, and some users are likely to come across software of this type while attempting to install freeware or shareware products. Often, free software may come bundled with 3rd-party utilities whose authors have paid to be promoted. However, these 3rd-party offers may not always include legitimate utilities, and in some cases, the users might be offered to authorize the installation of the Blasearch.com hijacker. Accepting this offer will not put your online safety in danger, but it might give the software permission to tamper with your Web browser's configuration so that you'll start getting redirected to Blasearch.com. This is done to boost Blasearch.com's popularity and increase the amount of daily traffic it generates. This may allow its owners to charge more for ads, or start popularizing related projects via Blasearch.com.
If the Blasearch.com starts appearing in your Web browser on a regular basis, you should check to see if you can identify any unknown extensions that may be responsible for this. Naturally, any extensions that modify your Web browser's settings without your knowledge should be removed as soon as possible. If you have trouble finding the intrusive software manually, then you'll be glad to hear that reputable anti-malware scanners are able to locate and remove browser hijackers like the ones linked to Blasearch.com.
