Boravid Ads

Boravid is a browser extension that may be compatible with Google Chrome. There don't appear to be variants compatible with other popular Web browsing clients so that it is likely that Chrome users are the only ones likely to encounter this software. Boravid is promoted as a neat utility that will provide users with the ability to download high-quality videos from Vimeo with the click of a single button. However, the installation of Boravid includes a small catch that some users might not see – the extension is ad-supported, and by installing it, users allow it to inject ads during their Web browsing sessions.

The advertising methods that Boravid uses might get in the way of the user's regular Web browsing habits, since 'Boravid Ads' might end up covering certain sections of the website they are browsing. The piece of software is classified as 'adware,' and users are advised to remove it to stop it from injecting more ads in active Google Chrome instances.

The removal of Boravid is a task that may not require the use of anti-virus software necessarily. Tech-savvy users can navigate to Google Chrome's settings menu, and uninstall the 'Boravid' extension from there. If this is not a solution, then it is recommended to let an anti-malware scanner deal with the Boravid adware.
