BroadcastPC is an adware application that contacts remote web servers and downloads many movies and advertising clips. Then it plays them at predefined moments distracting the user from his current work. BroadcastPC also tracks user browsing habits. The threat may download and secretly install different spywares and unsolicited advertising applications. It attempts to change the Windows Media Player default skin. Some BroadcastPC variants are able to automatically reinstall themselves and therefore cannot be removed with the help of ordinary anti-malware tools. The threat is bundled with many spywares and ad-supported products. It runs on every Windows startup.
