High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.

If your on-line experience is troubled by numerous "Ads by CashMall", you should know that your Internet client has been modified by adware. This tool, which often attaches itself in the form of a browser extension, primarily comes bundled with other software. It may claim to be a shopping enhancer, which will keep you informed of the latest deals, discounts and coupons. If you perform the setup process through the traditionally chosen "Express" method, you may not be informed about the presence of CashMall at all. After this adware enters the system, it immediately creates sponsored pop-ups, banners and in-text ads. CashMall doesn't expose you to these marketing materials to assist you with your shopping. On the contrary, the questionable add-on works in favor of its own developers, who receive pay-per-click revenues. The ads may become quite annoying due to their persistence. They consume some of your system's resources for their loading, which may result in performance problems like slow speed, freezes and even crashes. You should not click on the ads no matter how tempting they may appear to be because they may lead to unsafe pages. If you are not satisfied with the modifications, caused by CashMall, you should take the necessary steps to remove it.
