CC Cleaner
There is a system optimization tool called CCleaner that is developed by Piriform Ltd, which shouldn't be confused with a fake system optimization application named CC Cleaner that was developed by a company named Pcvark Software Pvt. Ltd. CC Cleaner doesn't have the necessary features to accomplish the tasks it supposedly does and among the problems that may be caused by CC Cleaner are the excessive use of system resources, the exhibition of alerts of fake problems, the misappropriation of information and more.
It isn't the first time that the creators of CC Cleaner developed bogus programs and named them similarly to trusted applications, hoping to fool computer users into downloading it. However, there's another way CC Cleaner may be introduced into a computer by the user unknowingly; is by using a method called bundling, which is highly favored by developers of adware, browser hijackers and PUPs. This is why PC users are advised to use the 'Advanced' option when downloading free software so that they can be sure that only the apps they need are installed. Anyway, if you have the CC Cleaner installed on your machine and want to remove it, a good anti-malware product can do it safely.
