Cleanignite is adware that installs itself as a browser extension on your default Web browser. Cleanignite may be added to Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome when the computer user downloads a program that is offered at no-cost on the Internet. Cleanignite's objective is to induce computer users into clicking on its sponsored advertisements. Sometimes even unwanted advertisements may help computer users with their online searches, but it is not the case with Cleanignite advertisements. By clicking on Cleanignite advertisements may open a way for the installation of additional PUPs, plugins and other applications potentially harmful. Cleanignite also may be linked to a Trojan that makes Cleanignite one step ahead of other PUPs when it came to security. Computer users have reported that Cleanignite is not easy to be deleted. In consequence, security experts advise using an anti-malware product to remove Cleanignite automatically.
