ConsoleLog

Posted: May 8, 2020

ConsoleLog is an application for Mac systems that you do not want to see in your list of installed programs, certainly. The issue with ConsoleLog is that it is not meant to be a useful utility that can be downloaded from an official website – instead, it is being spread via software bundles and fake installers that aim to trick you into downloading ConsoleLog without being made aware that this is happening. Once ConsoleLog is running on your Mac, it will monitor your list of running processes to check if you are using your Web browser – if the browser is active, ConsoleLog will proceed to inject advertisements that will appear on top of the pages you are viewing. ConsoleLog is a classic example of adware, and its removal should be your top priority.

Adware programs are very annoying since they aim to expose you to tons of advertisements that you are not interested in. Another problem is that their advertisements may often promote schemes and fraudulent pages, so it is usually better to avoid the contents of unknown advertisements.

To make sure that your Mac system will never be infiltrated by adware, you should consider installing and activating a reputable Mac anti-malware application.
