Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

If you suddenly notice aggressive Web ads with the slogan 'Brought by Content Protector,' it may mean that your Web clients have been compromised by adware. Content Protector may not improve your surfing experience in any way. Instead, Content Protector may deteriorate it by showing many intrusive pop-ups, banners, interstitial ads or transitional ads. The developers of Content Protector have picked this name intentionally. They have copied verbatim the name of a legit Web plugin that is a part of the WordPress platform. This safe extension allows users to prevent unauthorized copying of the whole website or some particular post. On the other hand, the ad-based Content Protector may not help you in any way. Its creators claim that their product can prevent the loading of sites with inappropriate or harmful content. According to them, Content Protector can even forestall hacker attacks or infections by blocking your access to compromised pages. In reality, however, Content Protector may not offer you these features because it may not be a legit security software. Its primary task is to fill Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Internet Explorer with the mentioned commercial materials. Content Protector has a whole arsenal of methods to make these new ads relevant to the taste of the particular user. The unwanted extension may track the searches, record the surfing history and read the present Web cookies. As a result, you may start seeing coupons and discounts on products that you need at the moment. If you click on the advertising windows, you may be redirected towards third-party sites that belong to the partner network of Content Protector. The people behind this adware may receive referral commissions for the service. The main reason you should not visit the affiliated platforms is that some of them may be associated with harmful software. Unfortunately, staying away from the coupons and deals may not be enough because their loading may cause a range of functionality issues. To fix your Web clients completely, you should proceed with an in-depth system scan by suitable security software.
