Converter Suite

Converter Suite is a Web browser utility that promises to provide its users with access to neat document conversion tools that can help them manage their digital presentations, spreadsheets and documents. However, the installation of Converter Suite comes at a small cost – it asks you to allow the add-on to replace the default new tab page you see with Convertersuite.com/newtab/v1. While this change is not unsafe, it may prove to be rather unenjoyable – this is because the new tab page that Converter Suite promotes is not as reliable and as functional as Google, Bing, Yahoo or similar popular sites.

Converter Suite is categorized as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) by security vendors, and its installation is not recommended. However, you do not need to worry if you have installed Converter Suite recently – this add-on does not pose a threat. The worst thing it does is to force you to use an alternative website as your default new tab page. Thankfully, you can resolve this issue easily by uninstalling Converter Suite – this should be more than enough to revert your browser's settings  to normal.
