Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

CoupItOn is one of the numerous tools that should, in theory, help you with your online shopping, but in practice may try to take advantage of you. This tiny application is just the next adware. It travels solely in software bundles, which is the reason it may reach your PC without your knowledge. The official site of this software is coupiton.com, but it doesn't contain a download button. If you download any freeware, even a legitimate one, it may encourage you to install CoupItOn as a recommended bonus component. The 'Quick' menu may spare you this data. Just like the majority of adware extensions, CoupItOn promises to display various good deals, coupons and vouchers to you. Its owners claim that this way you will be able to purchase products at a better price. However, the real intentions of this suspicious add-on are to generate a consistent flow of visitors to its partners. This process pays off in the form of referral commissions. While the developers of CoupItOn benefit, you may experience quite a few problems. First, the ads by this adware may be very intrusive and aggressive. No matter which site you open, you may encounter pop-ups, banners, interstitial ads and videos. Sometimes CoupItOn may even turn ordinary words into sponsored links. Seeing so many unrequested marketing materials may cause significant annoyance. Second, these ads may worsen the functionality of Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. At best, the operating speed may suffer, but at worst there may be some freezes and crashes. Third, part of the ads by CoupItOn may be potentially harmful, and take you to unsafe areas of the cyberspace. They may be appealing because they may be based on your surfing history, but for security reasons you should avoid them.
