The Dailyfileconverter.co New Tab is a deceptive application that, allegedly, lets users convert different data kinds. What Dailyfileconverter.co New Tab does, however, is hijack the new tabs of the affected browsers. The Dailyfileconverter.co installs itself automatically. The Dailyfileconverter.co also tracks the user's Web browsing activities and forces the browser to use a different search engine than the original.

One of the main goals of the Dailyfileconverter.co New Tab is to promote the dailyfileconverter[c]co Web search engine. The Dailyfileconverter.co hijacks the search engine of Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome and it assigns a new URL on the new tab function, as well as the default search engine and homepage options. These changes may not be much, but they are made in such a way that the users may not be able to revert them easily. The Dailyfileconverter.co New Tab reassigns these options every time they are changed back to their default state. In the end, the users are forced to remove it if they want to have everything back to normal.

As a result of these changes, the browsing quality decreases significantly, not to mention that there is data tracking involved, since the Dailyfileconverter.co New Tab may collect information regarding the user's Web browsing activities.
