Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

DailyOfferService is an adware application that injects its third-party advertising content into websites unrelated to DailyOfferService, regardless of any preexisting advertisement content native to the affected Web page. Although DailyOfferService does provide means of disabling its advertisements, the inconsistency of this feature, along with related issues with the DailyOfferService's removal, force malware researchers to rank DailyOfferService as a Potentially Unwanted Program. Improper removal of DailyOfferService may allow its advertisements to continue to load, and using dedicated anti-adware programs for deleting DailyOfferService is preferred whenever possible.
Your Daily Offering of Browser Advertisements
There may be no shortage of unwanted advertising software in sight, but the methods by which they deliver their advertisements are not always identical. Rather than pop-ups, new tabs or injected hyperlinks, DailyOfferService is known for modifying Web pages by injecting banners and additional, graphical elements that advertise for third parties. Web pages related to popular shopping domains, are particularly likely to be modified by DailyOfferService.
Malware experts often relate the repeated display of adware-based content to exposure to security risks, including fraudulent business offers, hidden phishing attacks and threats distribution. DailyOfferService does include a function for disabling its advertising 'feature,' but, frequently, using this feature failed to disable the related advertisement content. Removing DailyOfferService, therefore, is left as the most viable option for protecting your PC.
At this time, DailyOfferService only is confirmed to modify the Chrome browser, though malware experts also see similar adware programs for all major browsers.
Walking out of DailyOfferService's Advertisement Service
DailyOfferService's developers seem to be fully aware that their software would be considered unwanted by most consumers, and DailyOfferService makes heavy use of bundled installation methods that install DailyOfferService automatically. Most bundled adware programs may be avoided by avoiding the sites that have reputations for favoring adware. In cases where you need to launch an installer that may be compromised by adware, malware researchers also would recommend that you scan the file. Most anti-malware and anti-adware programs also include reasonable detection rates for the bundle utilities that install PUPs.
DailyOfferService is one of many advertisement programs that pretend to have shopping benefits, but may refuse to uninstall themselves, point blank, upon request. When considering the value of any browser-modifying software such as DailyOfferService, malware experts would recommend paying particular attention to any unwanted advertisement content, as well as the means of advertising display. All too often, products like the DailyOfferService add-ons do not give anything in return for the many inconveniences of their injected content.
