Online fraudsters use a wide variety of tricks to get their targets to perform specific actions. Some of the fraudulent schemes found online can be very threatening, but there are some less harmful ones whose sole purpose is to bombard the victim with advertisements. This is exactly the tactic found on Daystream.club, a website designed to hijack your Web browser's ability to display push notifications, and then abuse it to promote marketing content. Unfortunately, the advertisements that Daystream.club promotes may turn out to be very annoying since you will end up seeing the notifications all the time – even if your Web browser is closed.

The scheme that Daystream.club uses to gain the permissions it needs is not surprising – it shows a fake video player, and tells the users that they will need to allow notifications if they wish to play the content. Often, the content in question might be promoted as a secret video that is supposed to be very entertaining and interesting, so that there will be a higher chance that users will be tempted to view it.

If you have given Daystream.club the permissions to display notifications, then you probably are seeing a large number of advertisements for various videos, blogs, pages, products, services, and other content already. To resolve the issue, we advise you to open your Web browser's configuration and revoke Daystream.club's permissions.
