ScreenshotDefenceLab (or DefenceLab Removal Tools) is a rogue anti-virus program which promotes itself as a reliable security application. DefenceLab claims to be "the most downloaded software on CNET's Download.com", and convinces PC users to install its trialware. Once DefenceLab is active, it will start promoting a so-called "registered" version. Both the trialware and the paid version of DefenceLab are useless and should be avoided at all costs. DefenceLab can also be downloaded via fake multimedia codecs. DefenceLab displays fake virus scan results, pop-up ads and fake security notifications to deceive users. Do not fall for DefenceLab's trickery and have the threat removed with a reliable anti-virus program.
